Adopting a lifestyle that aligns with your ethics doesn’t mean choosing a bland existence. When you go vegan, you won’t be munching on twigs or wearing drab potato sacks – not if I have anything to do with it! We vegans have discovered natural deodorants that really work, plant cheeses that capture the umami essence of dairy cheeses, and stylish coats that keep us warm through the roughest of winters. In fact, many vegans are the movers and shakers behind these burgeoning businesses.
Becoming vegan doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice anything. On the contrary, veganism emphasizes abundance! You will find that your life will get so much richer, as if you turned up a color saturation dial that you didn’t know was there.
If you’re a visitor here, you’re at least veg-curious. Maybe you’ve already incorporated a few positive changes into your life. I want to congratulate you on following your heart even when it may be scary or hard! I am here – with nearly 20 years of living, breathing, studying, and being vegetarian/vegan – to help you navigate the waters of this new and exciting path. In addition to being a long-time vegan, I am also well-versed in raw foods, nontoxic living, and a plethora of other metamorphic lifestyle practices. That’s the “beyond” part of Vegan and Beyond. Veganism opened so many doors for me, and it holds the same promise for each and every one of you.
