Summer is the time for smoothie bowls. I love acai bowls, but other thick, smooth, ice-creamy bowls are also welcomed! I made this after not having a smoothie for several days, and I can’t tell you how amazing I felt after I finished it. It’s easy peasy and features my favorite fruit of all time, the humble nectarine, as well as one of my top 5 favorite fruits, a vibrant fruit with a most distinct personality, the passionfruit.
It’s Memorial Day, and people are probably thinking more about iced tea than hot tea, but there’s a place in my life for hot herbal teas, or tisanes, all year round. To me, they provide yet another healing opportunity for the body, and I never turn that down! I wanted to share some of the teas that have been helpful for me recently. Maybe you’ll find a new favorite for yourself!
I know the phrase is, “they go together like peanut butter and jelly”, but I think it could also go, “they go together like kiwi and pineapple.” These two fruits are so complementary, and I’m always looking for new ways to have them together. I’m inside taking a break from the waves right now (vacation, yeah!) to tell you about a very special article I wrote for Purely Elizabeth‘s Wellness Wednesdays. If you follow my blog, you’ll know that I am recovering from toxic mold, which caused havoc to my gut and adrenals. This winter, my doctor ordered some tests (ones that I’d gotten a few years back) to see if conditions in my gut were still in need of healing since I’d hit a plateau in the progress in my health.
Hi everybody! It is a sunny and (kind of) warm day here, and I’m feeling mighty fine. I just got back from a long walk with Tucker, who of course needed to visit all of his human friends in the neighborhood, and now I’m sitting down with a huge bowl of raw pad thai. Today is good.
